Call for Papers

The Indonesian International Conference on Ship and Offshore Technology and more popularly known as ICSOT Indonesia is a biennial conference and jointly organized by Indonesian universities and the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA). The Conference was initiated at Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS, Surabaya) in 2010 as part of 50 years anniversary of ITS and higher education in naval architecture in Indonesia, and 150 years of RINA. The second Conference was conducted at Pattimura University (Ambon) in 2012, the third Conference was held at Hasanuddin University (Makassar) in 2014, the fourth Conference was held back at ITS (Surabaya) in 2015 as special conference in commemoration to the 10 years anniversary of RINA Indonesia. The fifth Conference was held at Universitas Indonesia (Depok). The sixth Conference was held at Diponegoro University (Semarang).  The seventh Conference was held at Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya (PPNS) (Surabaya). 

The next and eighth  Conference will be held at Universitas Pembangunan Nasional “Veteran” Jakarta (UPNVJ) (Jakarta) – DKI Jakarta, on 17 – 18 November 2023. The purpose of the ICSOT is to invite practitioners, researchers, and academics from many countries to discuss and exchange their current research finding in maritime technology and other related fields. Hence, this conference is expected to increase understanding about the problems and challenges in ship safety and energy efficiency of ocean-based resources. It is also expected that the conference will be followed by the increased number of collaborations at both national and international levels,­­ on potential research related to maritime technology and other related sectors.
